ND Campus Shots

Category: GeneralLindsay @ 8:19 pm

One of my surprise graduation presents back in May was a digital camera, which I took with me this summer at ND. While I’m searching for a good solution to online photo hosting, I thought I’d share some nature shots I took. Flowers don’t really move or blink, so they make good subjects. I also had a small obsession with the Golden Dome and a random statue of the Holy Family (nicknamed the Holy Hand-off). On a related note, Picasa makes good collages. (Click the thumbnails to see them in their full, enormous glory.)

    I. Love. Picasa. If you’re already using it on your computer, Picasa web albums serve all my online photo hosting needs and it’s easy to keep synced up with your pictures if you have the newest version of Picasa.

And, of course, lovely pictures. :)

Thanks for the compliment, and the suggestion. I actually just started using Picasa Web Albums, and I like it. I even linked my album’s RSS feed to facebook to satisfy everyone’s stalker tendencies.

What type of camera do you have? I’ve been looking for a new one for about a year and haven’t been able to find one I’ve really liked.

I have a Nikon Coolpix S210 in plum and I love it. It was a surprise graduation gift, so I did zero comparison shopping, but it’s great. My sister just got one from the 500 series, and one of my housemates has an earlier model. The video playback is quiet, but they sounded fine after I transferred them to my computer. I’d recommend it.
